SAP Agents & Joule

From Joule readiness to your first SAP agent — in the right order. Joule is becoming SAP’s front door for AI. Getting there runs through BTP, identity, clean core and licensing. We check your landscape’s readiness, build the first human-in-the-loop agent in Joule Studio or pro-code via A2A — and bring the release discipline we come from to SAP agents.

The problem

SAP ties Joule to cloud editions, BTP services, identity setup and AI-unit entitlements — and on-premise ECC or S/4HANA has no standard Joule path today. Meanwhile, the free runtime for custom Joule agents ends on 31 December 2026. Teams need to know what is possible in their landscape, what it costs, and which agents they can build without waiting for Joule.

What we deliver

  • Joule readiness & activation check: BTP, Cloud Connector, Cloud Identity Services, formations, prerequisites and AI-unit entitlements — with a defect list
  • A path for on-premise and hybrid landscapes, including agents that do not depend on Joule
  • Your first SAP agent: one human-in-the-loop agent in Joule Studio, or pro-code via A2A — with an eval harness and a governance record from day one
  • AI-ready core: custom code, extension strategy, upgrade cadence and a regression strategy that includes agents
  • AI for SAP operations: agents for Basis and ALM work — monitoring triage, transport risk checks, runbook Q&A, optionally on local models

How it runs

Audit → Build → Retainer: the same line for every offer, tailored to this one. You decide after each phase whether to continue.

  1. 01

    Audit

A readiness check of your SAP landscape — editions, BTP, identity, entitlements, custom code — plus the use cases where an SAP agent pays off.

  2. 02

    Build

The first agent in Joule Studio or pro-code via A2A, released through transports, tests and approvals like any other SAP change.

  3. 03

    Retainer

Operations and evolution: new skills, SAP release changes, AI-unit consumption and the agent’s eval baseline kept current.

Questions

Our SAP system is on-premise. Can we use Joule?

There is no standard Joule path for on-premise S/4HANA or ECC today; SAP ties it to cloud editions and specific contracts. The readiness check tells you what is possible in your landscape — and which agents you can build without waiting for Joule.

Joule Studio or pro-code — which is right?

Joule Studio suits agents that live inside SAP’s cloud portfolio and its skills. Pro-code agents connected via A2A suit cases that span SAP and non-SAP systems or need their own models. The readiness check recommends one per use case.

Have you delivered Joule Studio projects before?

Not yet as a client reference — and we say so. Joule Studio, SAP BTP and SAP Cloud ALM are researched and prepared knowledge. What we bring from delivery is SAP landscape work: change and release management, Solution Manager, Basis and operations, migrations.

Why act now?

The free runtime for custom Joule agents and free design in Joule Studio end on 31 December 2026. SAP Solution Manager 7.2 leaves mainstream maintenance at the end of 2027, and EU AI Act obligations for high-risk uses are scheduled to apply from 2 December 2027.
