What the EU AI Act means for agents
- 2 Feb 2025Prohibited practices and AI literacy duties apply.
- 2 Aug 2026Transparency rules (Art. 50) apply, for example telling people they are talking to an AI. Enforcement starts.
- 2 Dec 2027Obligations for high-risk AI under Annex III apply, for example recruiting and staff performance, after the AI Omnibus (Regulation (EU) 2026/1744).

Is Novaeon Studio an AI agency for Europe?
We are an EU company, registered in Romania, and we deliver remotely to companies across Europe. Calls run in English, Romanian or German.
Does this help with the EU AI Act?
It lays the groundwork: an inventory, a risk classification per agent, documented tests and approvals, and an audit trail. Whether a use case is high-risk is assessed case by case; obligations for high-risk uses are scheduled to apply from 2 December 2027.
When do the high-risk obligations apply?
For Annex III systems from 2 December 2027, after the AI Omnibus (Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, in force since 27 July 2026). Source: European Commission, status October 2026. Check before you plan.
Can you prepare documentation for a works council?
Yes. In Germany, introducing technical systems that can monitor the behaviour or performance of employees is subject to co-determination under § 87(1) no. 6 BetrVG. We prepare documentation a works council can review. The legal assessment stays with your counsel.
Can agents run inside our EU infrastructure?
Yes. Models can run in the cloud or on-premise, in your own infrastructure. The Private AI Lab offer covers model selection, quantisation, datasets and evaluation.
